RE: ABC Tests U.S. Border Security

I originally saw this on http://www.nukeworker.com and thought it was relevant to RadSafe. Apparently, ABC sent 15 lbs of DU from Istanbul to New York City... following all the appropriate regulations and now they are "reporting" that it went "undetected" apparently in an effort to expose the incompetency of the inspections. Truthfully, it very well was detected... determined to be DU in a relatively small quantity... evaluated to be a valid shipment... and allowed to pass. The shipper and/or recipient would never know if it was given any additional attention unless they constantly accompanied the package. Even then, unless they knew how the package was being inspected they still may not know if it was detected.

I thought that airliners with DU counterweights were flying into NY on a

daily basis.

Did ABC News at least smuggle more than what's in one of these airliners ?

What's next - smugglind smoke detectors ? (boy, that oughta send their TV

ratings sky-high !)
