It's how you deal with it that is key. If you deal with it in a way 

that gives the perception a real sense of reality, then the 

perception thus comes a reality. If you deal with it in a way where 

the perception is treated with the significance of an item that has 

absolutely no basis, then it becomes more difficult to equate the 

perception to reality. DEal with it .. yes, but in proportionality.
