Some do and some don't. The DOT on July 17, Federal Register / Vol. 

66, No. 137, stated in 14 CFR Part 108, section 2.09, Use of X-Ray 

Systems, That scanners were no longer required to wear personal 

monitoring devises. The reasons are obvious. Up until this rule 

change, scanners were required to be monitored.
