RCT Trainer Supervisor Position



Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC) is now hiring a RCT Trainer Supervisor

for the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant located in Piketon, Ohio.  Please

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Coordinate and perform training related to satisfying health and safety

requirements, RCT and other radiological qualifications, site-specific

issues, job performance measures, general information and employee

orientation. Responsible for developing and maintaining training

documentation and record generation.  Responsible for scheduling training,

notifying trainees and their supervisors in line with operational

performance expectations, and providing training presentations.  Responsible

for collecting and assembling training data or information for personnel

reports and development and maintenance of a site training matrix.

Responsible for periodic verification of training qualifications, job

knowledge, and implementation in accordance with site policies and

requirements.



JOB DIMENSIONS:

*  Reports to and receives administrative and technical direction from the

Program Training Specialist.

*  Supervises and implements training as outlined above.

*  Works with Program Training Specialist concerning training and

qualification requirements, training schedules and subject content, and

records management.  Works with Location Health and/or Safety Representative

and the SEC RADCON Alliance ES&H Manager regarding health and safety

training and qualification requirements.

*  Maintains peer relationships with other participating entities

responsible for training and qualifications (SEC RADCON Alliance, BJC, USEC,

and DOE training organizations).



MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

*  Thorough knowledge of radiological safety and site-specific training

requirements as defined by the scope of work and associated performance

requirements.

*  Familiarity with training and qualification requirements in other areas

of safety.

*  Demonstrated ability to: Prepare and deliver training presentations,

prepare progress and performance reports for assigned areas, follow

procedures, work packages, and / or protocols, use and manipulate computer

spreadsheets and/or databases, and use word processing software.

*  Excellent verbal and written skills.



QUALIFICATIONS:

*  A.S., B.S. degree in science, engineering, or related field or be

certified by the NRRPT.  Demonstrated ability and experience in applied

health physics and related training may substitute for post high school

education and certifications.

*  DOE Radiological Control Technician Certification

*  OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour.

*  DOT HAZMAT training, as required by position assignment

*  3 plus years of direct operational health physics experience and 2 plus

years of training related experience.

*  Ability to participate in physically demanding work while wearing

personnel protective equipment including respiratory protection.

*  Medically qualified to wear a respirator, able to lift 30lbs, and able to

climb ladders.

*  High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license.

*  DOE “L” or “Q” security clearance or the ability to obtain the same, as

required.



PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

NRRPT certification preferred
