Re: Peak elimination

Fermi 2 does not have firm rules for eliminating unidentified peaks, leaving

peak deletion to the judgment of the operator. We have guidelines for this

decision:

"Use the following guidelines in deleting lines [peaks]:

a. Spurious lines usually have a small peak area and may have a high % error,

e.g., greater than 50%.

b. Spurious lines may have an unusually large or small FWHM value, e.g.,

greater than 4 or less than 1.

c. Spurious lines may be close to other more prominent energy lines with the

'channel' and 'left' column values for both lines the same."

The opinions expressed are strictly mine.

It's not about dose, it's about trust.

Curies forever.
