Re: lung cancers, primary vs secondary



A relevant comment is that last year there was a

change in the identification of deaths associated with

Alzheimer's disease.  The common source of death is

the patient literally forgets to swallow and the

aspirates fluids into the lungs.  This can lead to

pneumonia, which was frequently listed as the cause of

death.  Now, these patients will have Alzhemier's

disease listed as the cause of death, which will have

some effect on the mortality statistics.
