The currently accepted model for chemical Carcinogenesis is an LNT model.
Hence, the cancer risk from cigarette smoking is considered to be LNT.
Thus, ecological fallacy may not apply to the distribution of smokers, and
the cancer risk will depend on the total number of cigarettes smoked rather
than on who smokes them.
