	--They are straightforward statements of fact. BEIR-IV gives

different risks for smokers and non-smokers, and I use these to derive my

basic formula in item #1 on my web site. BEIR-VI suggests that a

distinction be made between one pack/day and two pack/day smokers and I do

that (see Sec.4.4 of item #7 on my web site). Where do I assume linearity

of lung cancer risk with smoking?
