	--If you are saying that NCHS statistics do not give valid

mortality rates, please explain what you mean. If you are raising the

issue of time periods, I treat that as a question of variation of average

radon levels bewteen the time when the lung cancers were presumably caused

and the time when the measurements were made. I have discussed that

subject in my papers and very recently on RADSAFE, for example noting that

the problem is much worse in the great majority of case-control studies.
