I love it.  My crystallography professor, J.D.H. Donnay (who was actually

Belgian but of course fluent in French) pronouced it "oh zhay".

Moreover,Alsatians (Alsace is one of the provinces referred to) do not

Germanify French names, nor do German speakers do this generally.
