RE: US ARMY (It's the 419 Scam model)

Jim is absolutely correct on this one

I have contacted the US Secret Service Philadelphia Field Office, as the

Treasury Department, not the FBI, has the lead on this. They have a

mailbox:

Secret Service Fraud Reporting (419.fcd@usss.treas.gov)

I save all of mine and upload them to the Secret Service about once a week.

RadSafers at the DOE labs should refer them to their counterintelligence

officer.

IMPORTANT: NEVER REPLY TO THESE MESSAGES, It only validates your e-mail

Dear all,

Substitute "Nigerian Bank Manager" or "former president of Nigeria" and you

have the classic "419 Scam" (also known as the Advance Fee Scam and Spanish

Prisoner Scam).

Check out http://home.rica.net/alphae/419coal/ for details.

I get one of these about every two days. Spam filters appear to now be

picking them up fairly consistently now.
