Re: Deadly wind turbines
Yes they do kill of birds, but how they count them is a mystery. I have
ridden in and around several wind mill farms (Altamont, Mojave, and
RioVista) and haven't seen any dead birds laying about.
The data is suspect, since I do not think there are 44,000 endangered birds
in that particular area, especially eagles.
I have seen an eagle nesting near the former Portland General Electric
Trojan plant. However, I have not seen any eagles nesting around a coal
fired, oil fired, gas fired, or solar plant!
