I'll speculate that the primary use of a dirty bomb is to cause significant
emotional stress to a designated population. One doesn't need a high dose
source to do that. A simple nuclear medicine package that spews "contamination"
into a downtown area is all that is needed. Just look at the fear the public
already demonstrates, and, this is all compounded by government "experts" who are
simply agitating the public with their sometimes ridiculous rhetoric!
THANK YOU!
However I'll go YA one further anyone have some old Coleman lantern mantles
and a few firecrackers? Say at a smaller Airport in a jurisdiction where the
HAZMAT team is a minimal capable team with limited (if any) RAD capability?
Device goes boom (small letters intentional), called in threat stating "now
you will glow" and then the HAZMAT guys call the FBI and media gets wind of the
response and well need I say what the media will do with that scenario?
