Re: Badges for surgery
Of course, the NRC does not regulate medical
facilities, only licensed material throught the
licensee. A physician in cardiac cath, fluoro, etc.,
who does not wear his or badge is accountable to whom?
I have heard of a few (very few, because they are
rare?) instances where physicians have been treatened
with removal of clinical priviledges for violating
requirements to wear badges.
In some cases it is not associated with the cavalier
attitude of the physicians as much as their focus on
the task on hand, e.g., medical treatment.
