AW: PWR Fuel Damage

This most probably refers to an incident at the NPP of Paks, Hungary which

occurred one or two years ago.

Best regards,

Franz

Betreff: PWR Fuel Damage

The NRC sent out an information notice yesterday, IN2004-04, titled "FUEL

DAMAGE DURING CLEANING AT A

FOREIGN PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR" in which they describe damage to PWR fuel

during cleaning at a "foreign PWR site". See

http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/gen-comm/info-notices/2004/

They described the releases as 10,000 Curies of Noble gases and 10 curies of

radioiodines.

Can anyone tell me where this occured and possible further references?

Hal C.
