Termination of EML's Performance Evaluation Program
Environmental Measurements Laboratory (EML) issued a memo dated March 1 which states that DOE's Quality Assessment Program will be terminated after the report is issued for the current performance sample round (QAP 60).
EML's QAP has been a bench mark used by many organizations to judge laboratory performance in terms of unbiased precision and accuracy. In the upcoming absence of this program does anyone have any thoughts on how we, who are engaged in radioanalytical testing, may continue to demonstrate to outside organizations our ability to meet accuracy and precision criteria?
