Wouldn't we all! But, the distinction between protection quantities and

operational quantities, which is so clear in Figure 1 of ICRP 74,

requires us to distinguish. For those who don't have ICRP 74 handy, it's

reproduced as slide 35 in my lecture from the 8-hour AAHP class at the

Augusta Midyear (scroll to the bottom of
