Re: Article: At the Center of the Storm Over Bush And Science

Radsafers,

The discussions on politics and science are actually verrrrrry important,

and some good may come out of the radsafe exchanges. (Hate to see them

stop, but they do need to be 'professional'.)

If you remember the Bjorn Lomborg affair, the Danish committee simply

rehashed the Scientific American attacks because the politics outweighed

the science. (Shame on Scientific American and John Rennie (sp?)) IMHO it

was a case of an 'august body' fighting to preserve a paradigm that they

had a lot of motivation to keep, even though it was neat, plausible, and

wrong.

SO, for those of us who need help in forming solid arguments for why

radiation (in small doses) is natural, please keep up at least some of the

debates.

My opinions only. (Neither management, nor staff, nor the man on the

street, were surveyed for a consensus opinion)
