Talked with you earlier today re Stannard's book.  Radium never made the 
USP or NF although it was listed in New and Nonoffical Remedies about 
1932 or so.  In any event, Ra-228 is still used in Europe, administered 
internally for palliation in ankylosing spondylitics.  Suggest you talk 
with Marv Rosenstein at Center for Devices and Radiation Control; he is a 
wealth of information re radium.
