Greetings Radsafers:

My name is Mashal, and I would like to solicit the help and kindness of the 
members of Radsafe in trying to find a job, if this in any way is 
inappropriate or offends any one, I offer my apologies.

I have an M.S. in Radiological Health Physics from San Jose State University 
(1994), and a B.S. in Physics from SJSU (1987).  My M.S. thesis was on the 
spectral measurements of the neutron field around medical LINACS of 
different energies, (the LINACS are Varian made, my entire research was 
conducted at Varian Oncology Systems, Palo Alto).  I have extensive 
experience in neutron measurements and spectroscopy using TLDs and FOIL 
ACTIVATION, I also used BTI s Bubble Detectors Spectrometer to measure the 
same spectra during this research.  For the past two and a half years I have 
been working at Varian primarily to finish my research, but also to assist 
in the day to day activities of the RSO, Dr. Jeff Kleck.  In addition, I was 
given responsibility to analyze data on Workload Use Factors and annual 
clinical usage from several Clinics that employed Varian machines.  The 
results of this project and the results of my thesis work will be published 
in several Journals in the near future.

Before 1993, I worked at SAIC of Santa Clara as a staff scientist.  SAIC is 
nuclear physics R&D company which holds a general radioactive material 
license.  Principle experience in experimental nuclear physics with emphasis 
on gamma ray detection from neutron capture reactions.  Worked on several 
neutron generators, and individually bench-marked and characterized a 600 
keV neutron accelerator designed by SRL.  I was a member of the team that 
designed, tested and deployed the first Thermal Neutron Activation system to 
detect explosives in airline luggage.

I have considerable experience in both VAX/VMS system and PC-based 
environments; some experience with the UNIX operating system.  Proficient in 
Quattro Pro, Excel, Paradox, MsWord, Lotus 123, WordPerfect, and can program 
if I had to.

Above all, I have a great attitude about work, very curious, easy to work 
with, eager to learn, and can adopt to any situation.  References to
