Re: animal restraints
Melissa,
I have an "old" Nuclear Medicine Instrument and Accessories
catalog from MXE in Culver City in California. Catalog M-4, page
27 has a "mold and hold" patient positioner for infants and
children and a larger positioner for adults. The whole body size
is 82" x 36". Not quite big enough for a horse, but would handle
any dog I've ever seen. These positioners in this old catalog
are about $200.00 and the pumps are about another $200. The old
phone number I have is 1-800-252-1801 - I hope it's still good!!!
If you want further information, please e-mail me at
Baumbaug@nosc.mil and I will fax you a copy.

Subject: animal restraints
Getting us all back on topic...
Does anyone know of a source for veterinary restraint systems for
use during
veterinary radiography and/or fluoroscopy procedures? The need
is for both
small animal (dogs, cats) and large animal (horses) cases.
(or perhaps more bluntly, in the words of my office-mate, "where
can one
obtain doggie straitjackets?")
Additionally, does anyone know how well such restraints work in
cases where
an animal cannot be tranquilized?
Thanks in advance!
