Bad Press: New England Schools

An article in Sun. Washington Post (4/16/95 p A17) AP source headlined:
"Massachusetts Schools Cited for 'Cavalier' Handling of Radioactive Materials".

Rad material tossed in the trash...buried in a landfill...eight people
unknowingly exposed when waste leaks from container..

"NRC documents obtained from an FOIA show Massachusetts universities have
what an NRC inspector calls a 'cavalier' attitude toward handling and disposal"

Named are Harvard, B. U., U. Mass., and "others".

Any comments from New England on the background?  Source?  or Cause for the
current concern?

If some activist group is out to do what the animal rights people have doine
in their arena, we need to know!
