Re: NVLAP/DOELAP

     John... here is my attempt...

     It seems that Am-241 has approximately a 60 keV x-ray (36%) ... that
is between the NVLAP M100 and M150 Categories.

     M100 average energy Kev .. Ck,d = 1.65 Ck,s = 1.62

     M150 average energy keV .. Ck,d = 1.92 Ck,s = 1.78

     Hope this helps a little.

Thanks to those who responded to my query on rad waste.

A question for any dosimetry gurus out there. What is the Cx or Ck value for
Am-241 x-rays in the ANSI N13.11 world? I realize that Am-241 is not a NVLAP
source, but I am trying to convert some DOELAP style irradiations to the ANSI
values. I have the proper values for the standard beams, but the AM-241 is
lacking.

Thank you.
