There are, no doubt, passengers who receive readily measurable dose
equivalents in the course of air travel that is required by their
occupations. The significance of these exposures is, as L. Slaback implies,
another matter. It is, I think, a crucially important definition, as to
whether this sort of exposure is "natural" or not, and further,what "natural"
exposures should be BRC. Is this not in the same category of exposure as that
from, say, a uranium mill tailings pile? Or the exposure to persons living in
houses the concrete foundations of which were made with U mill tailings?
