Another interesting lead poisoning case involved an electrician who
was occupationally exposed by stripping wire of the plastic/PVC
coating with his teeth.  After the stripping process the electrician
chewed the coating, much like chewing gum.

Turns out that several types of wire coverings had lead used in the
manufacturering process and that this was where the electrician
received his high blood lead.
