Re[3]: Radon Question from Occ-Med-Env -Reply- inside mask conc
If Rn progeny is removed by the filters, and only Rn gets into the mask,
the progeny concentration inside the mask will be nowhere near the
concentration outside. The residence time inside the mask is too short for
any appreciable buildup (assuming breathing activity).
The progeny attachment to dust, and attachment of dust and progeny to
filter media will lower the progeny concentration inside the mask by
factors dependent on dust size, equilibrium conditions and numerous other
environmental and physical factors.
The above opinions are mine alone, and have no bearing on my employer.
