  To Denis Rinkacs re S-35:

Any chance that you are seeing interference from C-14, which has
a similar energy? Is the investigator generating sulphur dioxide or
hydrogen sulphide? My Amersham wall chart also warns that radiolysis
of S-35 amino acids during storage and use may lead to the release of
S-35 labelled volatile impurities. Although impurities may be a small
percentage, contamination of internal surfaces of storage and reaction
vessels may occur. They also recommend that vials be opened and used
  in ventilated enclosures.

  Hope this helps.
