Regarding static magnetic field measurements:  F. W. Bell offers
various gaussmeters for your application (phone 407-678-6900). Also,
G. E. Rents has a very large supply of various electrical equipment
for rent, and may have an appropriate gaussmeter (phone 1-800-GE RENTS).
I have had good luck with both of these vendors.
