Part of the explanation is that the article has not hit the newstands.  The 
January copy of the EHP has not yet reached subscribers.  It has only been in 
the last 24-48 hours that a copy has appeared on the NIEHS website.

IMHO, the press release was timed to make actual analysis of the data as 
difficult as possible.
