RE: Du in missing plane



An A-10 does not carry DU as a counterweight or other reason.  They do
use DU as armor piercing rounds.  Our experience with DU has told us
that it is detectable using NaI detectors.  This is based on requiring
to find buried DU in past aircraft crashes.
