Re: gamma spectrometry
Bill
Though not specific to gamma spec work, would the following apply for
any systen qualifying/quantifying radiation and/or rad material?
10CFR50 Appendix B, Q A Criteria for Nuc. Pwr. Plants
ANSI N45.2-1971, Q A Program Requirements ...
ANSI N323-1978, R.P. Instrumentation Test and Calibration
INPO 88-010, Guidelines for R.P. at Nuc. Pwr. Sta.
INPO 91-14, Guidelines for R.P. at Nuc. Pwr. Sta.
NCRP 112, Calibration of Survey Instruments ...
also, Station Tech Specs, USFAR, etc.

We are doing a self-assessment of our gamma spectrometry activities and have
the following question:
Are there any specified requirements, such as ANSI Standards or Regulatory
Guides, which apply to the operation of a gamma spectrometry facility at a
nuclear power plant?
Please respond via RADSAFE or directly to me. Thanx
