Activated Lead

Hello,

I am here at the University of Washington in Seattle, and we are in
the process of trying to decommission our research reactor. We have a
good amount of slightly activated lead, about 10,000 lbs, that we need to
do something with. The first question, then: does anyone know of someone
who could make use of the lead?

We've also been calling around to see what disposal options are, without a
tremendous amount of luck. So the next question is, can anyone offer us
some advice about disposing of this material (places, companies, ect.)?

I'd appreciate any advice you may have -- you can reply to me directly if
that seems more appropriate. Thanks.
