Re: Thalium Stress Test (fwd) -Reply

CRC Handbook of Nuclear Med. and Clinical Imaging give an administered
activity of 1.5 mCi (55.5 MBq). WB dose of 0.24 rads (2.4 mGy) and lg.
intestine dose of 4.1 rads (41 mGy).

This corresponds nicely with NCRP 100; Exposure to US Population from
Diagnostic Medical Radiation. 0.045 mGy/MBq or .166 rads/mCi.

At our plant, persons tend to alarm our portal monitors for 4 to 5 weeks
after receiving medical Tl-201 due to the impurity of Tl-202 (T1/2 = 12.23
days).
