NRC decommissioning workshops, Feb. 18 & 19

The NRC will hold public workshops in Rockville, Maryland on February 18 and February 19 discuss decommissioning guidance being developed.  The February 18 workshop will be on *Methods to Conduct a Final Status Survey.*  The February workshop will be on "Dose Modeling."  

The workshops are being held in support of a future Regulatory Guide,  *Demonstrating Compliance With the Radiological Criteria for License Termination.*  The Regulatory Guide is being written to describe an acceptable method to comply with the NRC*s recent final rule on Radiological Criteria for License Termination (62 FR *39058; July *21, 1997).

The dose modeling document will be available at the same website during the week of February 2.

All interested licensees and members of the public are invited to attend this workshop.
