Mark At our institution we have the users buy check sources for their instruments. We have them store their check sources in a locked cabinet. We provide a sheet for calculating the average, +-2 standard deviations and +-3 standard deviations using the source and for the background. We also provide a graph to chart the instrument response to the check source and the background.
