TVA Tritium Production

RADSAFERS,

As a point of news interest, the Tennessee Valley Authority
has (according to today's news) asked the NRC for approval to
produce tritium (for use in atomic weapons) in its civilian
power reactors.

This will be the first mixing of civilian and military
nuclear programs in the US and is a fundamental rethinking
of US nuclear policy.

Job opportunity:  Get rich operating a Kool-Aid stand in front
of TVA reactor gates to supply the armies of thirsty
protestory that are expected to mob the sites.
