RAM Shipping Container
Tracy,
To my knowledge there are no commercial suppliers of Type A or Type B
radioactive material packages that can supply the complete documentation
required. The reason is that each package must meet a unique set of
requirements.
It is best for a shipper to design, test and document his own package.
I also do not know of any package testing laboratory that is capable of
providing complete required documentation.

Howdy,
I'm asking on behalf of a colleague at another institution who is
having a radioactive target fabricated for an accelerator system.
The company fabricating the target has advised him that he
must supply his own DOT approved shipping container. They
described it as basically a six-inch long, three-inch diameter
pipe which has been DOT approved. I would appreciate any
leads for vendors of such devices.
Thanks,
Tracy Tipping
