Re: Explosion at Stateline Generating Station

There have been many explosions in a nuclear power station, all on
the secondary side. These include steam systems, primarily where
valves and dampers have blown off. There have been serious
injuries. Generally the media pushes the story as, major explosion
in nuclear power plant, workers injured. In the text, you then find
out, if you read deep enough, that it involved the secondary, not the
primary side, and, the component that failed, is typically found in
most industries, such as the coal plant mentioned by Maurice.
When you read further, there might even be the key phrase, no
radiation "escaped" from the plant. I always wondered if we're
prison guards keeping the radiation inmates captive!
