DOE Bioassay / Internal Dosimetry Workshop

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is sponsoring a Bioassay/Internal
Dosimetry Workshop on October 27-28, 1998, at the Holiday Inn in
Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The Department is experiencing a heightened
sensitivity concerning issues related to bioassay and internal dosimetry.
It is due to the unique materials involved in current and past DOE
operations that makes this informative workshop imperative to personnel
responsible for maintaining quality bioassay and internal dosimetry
capabilities.

The DOE Bioassay/Internal Dosimetry Workshop provides an opportunity for
DOE and contractor personnel to discuss regulatory requirements, needed
guidance, and program implementation experience.  In addition, the workshop
provides a forum in which to share lessons learned, discuss needs, and help
set the future directions for bioassay and internal dosimetry programs.
