This GM "saturation" issue is a red herring and hasn't been an issue for
YEARS!

The problems with NOT with the GM tube but with the electronic circuitry.
Circuitry that does NOT exhibit this effect is simple and well known and
used on virtually any GM instrument that is still around and working
(except maybe for a few in the collections of us "archivists").
