In Brazil:

Investigator (Researcher)

An individual who fulfils the national requirements on training and
experience for use radioiactive materials for research purpose

Principal Investigator

An individual who:
a) fulfils the national requirements on training and experience for use
radioiactive materials for research purpose;
b) has been designated by the employer to assume the responsibilities of
protection and safety comensurate with the nature and extent of the risks
associated with the research.
