Open HP faculty position
HEALTH PHYSICS FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Graduate School
of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh is recruiting to fill an
academic tenure stream position with responsibilities for teaching and
research in radiation sciences in our graduate and post doctoral programs.
The individual selected should be prepared to provide graduate level
course instruction in several of the following areas: health physics,
radiation physics as applied to health physics and medical physics;
radiobiology; and environmental radioactivity. Other functions are the
supervision of graduate and postdoctoral research projects and the
development of an externally funded research program.
Applicants should hold an earned doctoral degree in the field of radiation
sciences closely related to radiation protection and should have several
years of pertinent professional experience. Preference will be given to
those with demonstrated teaching and research capabilities. Health
Physics Board Certification is also desirable.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the qualifications of
the successful applicant. It can range from Assistant Professor to Full
Professor.
