Dear Igor -

I'm not sure if it's relevant or not, but our Nuclear Cardiology Department
is looking to start using something called a TAC (Transmission Attenuation
Correction). This consists of about 30 mCi of Gd-153 that is designed to
help correct for extra attenuation from larger patients. I'm at home now,
but would be happy to look up the name of the company that makes them when
I get to work in the morning. They may be able to point you in the
direction of some literature that discusses the effects of body thickness
on beam attentuation.
