Scott,

There's an article entitled "Nomographs for Operational Health Physics
Measurements" by David L. Smith in Volume 8, Number 4 (July/August 1991)
of Radiation Protection Management that goes through the steps for
creating a nomograph. The article contains four examples and a list of
potential HP applications.

The reference for the method used in the article was Mark's Standard
Handbook for Mechanical Engineers, Theodore Baumeister, Editor-in-Chief,
pp. 2-89 through 2-91. McGraw-Hill (1967).
