Interestingly enough, after having run that 5 or 10 minute story 
about the "dangers" of unsecure radioactivity, the next night the 
devoted a whole 10 or so SECONDS to a story about potential clinical 
trials of a new cancer treatment (cure).   Shows where their 
priorities are....

Ironically, the research done at that facility in boston to come up 
with the potential cancer treatment could probably not have even been 
done without the use of radionuclides...  so the new channel would 
shut down the lab because of the radioactivity, then complain that no 
progress in the fight against disease was being made!
