Good point Charles. It is really a waste of your time to do the LSA
determination (calculation) unless you plan to ship exclusive use. You are
required to meet ALL the requirements of the subchapter even if you have
LSA, unless you go exclusive use as Charles points out. Also, except for
LSA-II and LSA II combustible solids and all liquids and gases there is no
activity limit either for package or conveyance other than what the LSA
definition holds you to.

Everyone using the above scenario, please be aware that 173.427 (a)
"everything else in this subchapter applies"; such as marking (172.3XX),
labeling (172.4XX), placarding for a Yellow III label. For the modified DOT
7A
Type A package described in 173.427 b2 or some IP's described in
173.427(b1).
