RE: Exposure from Bremsstrahlung

In the same series (HHSC handbook no.9, 1992), you can also consult:
Phosphorus -32, Practical Radiation Protection by Peter E. Ballance.

So far, there has been some answers regarding potential exposure to
bremstrahlung, this is another approach: Why don't you try to limit exposure
to high activities by frequent pick-ups (if feasible of course) ?

We are trying here to limit unecessary exposures to P-32. Any waste box with
an activity of more the 5 mCi of P-32 or high gamma emmittors (total, any
given time)should be pick-up as soon as possible. We have a decay in storage
facility just for that. P-32 or high energy emmitors should decay...away
from the users. Remember the famous "time, distance, shielding" ?

Caspar, you need to get hold of Iain McLintock's little book:
Bremsstrahlung from radionuclides - practical guidance for radiation
protection. ISBN 0-948237-23-6 Published in the UK by H and H Scientific
Consultants as HHSC Handbook no. 15, 1994.
