Q: rad waste bag source?
Before I ask my question, I would like to call to everyone's attention
that I seem to be sending out an inordinately large amount of moderation
messages to people regarding (1) lack of an e-mail address in posts, (2)
over-quoting and, (3) idle/personal chit-chat lately. Thinking before
hitting the "send" key is generally a good idea. <cough, cough>
Now to my question...
Having just spent a rather pleasant (not) morning wading through garbage
at the University's waste transfer station, I couldn't help but think
that this particular trip could've been avoided by the use of
pre-printed rad waste bags. What we'd be looking for are
transparent/translucent (clear or yellow) bags in a couple different
sizes with standard rad waste warnings printed on them.
Our RSO wants to bring up this issue at the next Radiation Safety
Committee meeting to see if it floats, so sources/prices would be good
to have in hand. We are still having a "discussion" about whether using
the bags would be voluntary or mandatory for the labs, so I
unfortunately can't give any real estimate of quantity. Please e-mail
me *privately* if you know of, or are, a source. My e-mail address is
below in my .sig.
Thanks in advance!
