Re: HP tech Payscale

Without getting into any personal bashing over this I would like to tout
some of the advantages of being in the DOE complex. In my experience I
have come across very few techs who I don't think could cut it at an NPP,
our people are as good as yours. We also have the advantage, or at least I
see it as one, that we are not really sure what we are going to be involved
in in the future. You never really know what some mad scientist is going
to want to do next week. This allows us to exercise our minds as well as
our imaginations. We have to work with essentialy the whole spectrum of
nuclides, not just MFP and activation products, which in my experience are
pretty easy to work with (no real trick to finding them). I think our pay
is as good as it needs to be. We're not going to get rich working here,
but neither are your people, unless they are pulling down lots of OT, which
is a personal preference. I'll step down off of the soap box now. So how
about cutting us some slack?
