Dear Melissa,

I can assure you that at least one RADSAFER is using utmost moderation
since a long time. At least one remark directed to a fellow RADSAFER would
have caused this anonymous RADSAFER to write an angry or cynical comment
some time ago..... He might even have repeated his quest, that any RADSAFER
who contributes should clearly state her or his personal identity or
otherwise refrain from offending others with words like "anal". My English
is without doubt not the best, but since I wanted to be absolute sure about
my understanding my dictionary confirmed the meaning of this word. I would
propose this as an addition to the RADSAFE netiquette.

I do not know, whether it is explicitely mentioned in the FAQ - sorry, I
have to pay my internet-costs myself, so I did not look it up - but it
happens quite often, that the same messages or messages with practically
the same content are sent several times. Something like this happened
yesterday. I think that this could be avoided also.

Otherwise, RADSAFE is an extremely useful forum, which does not only help
in professional concerns, but shows me that there are enough resources for
helping in personal concerns (my question about isostents) and that there
are enough RADSAFERs who have not lost their humour and their humane
attitude over their sometimes frustrating jobs.

I have always wondered, how somebody can keep such an inhomogeneous group
of individualists, which scientists are, together. I have mailed this once
to you, Melissa, personally, but now I write it in "public"!

Please RADSAFERs, refrain from sending to the list your approval about my
words for Melissa, this would clog the list and use bandwidth and Melissa
would be angry with us....You may use my personal e-mail and I will tell
her the number of approvals!

Franz
